Sacred Content & Community Guidelines
1. The Spirit of Sacred Devotional Practice
Jaap Karma is dedicated to fostering spiritual serenity, peace of mind, and unbroken focus for seekers and devotees across the globe. Our platform is created as a digital temple, quiet sanctuary, and meditative companion.
We believe that spiritual practices transcend boundaries and require deep reverence, mutual respect, and pure intention. These Sacred Content & Community Guidelines establish the moral and legal expectations for all individuals engaging with our software.
2. Custom Mantras, Sankalps & User Inputs
Jaap Karma provides a flexible feature allowing devotees to register personal mantras, deity names, transliterations, and spiritual vow descriptions (Sankalpa). While this content is stored strictly on your local device, users are bound by sacred ethics and the laws governing digital content in the Republic of India and their respective jurisdictions.
3. Statutory Framework: Respect for Religious Sentiments in India
Users in India are reminded that speech, digital text, and representations concerning religion, sacred figures, and deities are governed by the statutory protections of:
- Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS) Sections 299, 300, 301, 302 (formerly Indian Penal Code Sections 295, 295A, 298): Criminalizing deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs.
- Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS) Section 196 (formerly IPC Section 153A): Prohibiting the promotion of enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, or caste.
- Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (Rule 3(1)(b)): Directing that platforms shall not host or facilitate content that is harmful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, invasive of another's privacy, or hateful.
4. Strictly Prohibited Content Categories
You explicitly agree that you shall not use custom mantra, Sankalp, or notes fields to write, store, or display:
- Blasphemy, Desecration & Religious Insults: Content that mocks, defames, desecrates, or deliberately demeans any deity, sacred text, prophet, guru, saint, or religious tradition.
