Spiritual, Health, Wellness & Situational Safety Disclaimer
1. Cultural, Traditional & Devotional Nature
Jaap Karma is created purely as a digital mindfulness counter, focus aid, and sacred spiritual companion for traditional Japa (repetition of sacred Vedic mantras and divine names), Naam Smaran, meditative prayer, and personal vow (Sankalp) tracking.
The sacred mantras, divine names, and devotional disciplines integrated into this application reflect centuries-old cultural, scriptural, and spiritual heritage from Sanatana Dharma, Vedic, Upanishadic, Bhakti, and related contemplative traditions. They are provided solely for cultural reverence, philosophical appreciation, and individual spiritual discipline.
2. Zero Guarantees of Material, Karmic or Astrological Outcomes
Devotion is experiential, heartfelt, and personal. The creators, maintainers, and contributors of Jaap Karma make NO CLAIMS, WARRANTIES, OR GUARANTEES WHATSOEVER regarding:
- Spiritual enlightenment, mystical visions, kundalini awakening, or instant karmic purification;
- Financial windfalls, lottery success, business profits, or employment promotions;
- Astrological mitigation of planetary doshas (e.g., Shani Sade Sati, Manglik dosha, Rahu-Ketu transit remedies);
- Supernatural, tantric, or miraculous interventions in worldly affairs;
- Curing physical sickness, curing chronic medical diseases, or reversing aging.
Traditional scriptures emphasize that spiritual practice is a pathway of self-surrender, discipline, and devotion, rather than a transactional mechanism for worldly material acquisition.
3. Health & Clinical Disclaimer (Not Medical Advice)
JAAP KARMA IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE AND DOES NOT PROVIDE HEALTHCARE, CLINICAL, MEDICAL, OR PSYCHIATRIC ADVICE.
The software is neither evaluated nor certified by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) in India, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), or any other regulatory health authority.
Nothing contained in this application, its mantras, its statistics, or its documentation should be construed as medical advice, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic prescription, or a healthcare treatment plan.
4. Mental Health & Psychological Distress Protocol
While scientific studies and contemplative traditions acknowledge that rhythmic breathwork, mantra chanting, and seated meditation can support general relaxation, emotional grounding, and mental calm in healthy individuals, they are NOT a replacement or substitute for licensed psychiatric, psychological, or clinical mental health treatment.
If you or someone you know is experiencing clinical depression, suicidal ideation, acute panic disorders, post-traumatic stress (PTSD), severe bipolar episodes, or acute psychological crises, please consult a licensed psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, or medical doctor immediately.

5. Situational Awareness & Physical Road Safety
DO NOT USE JAAP KARMA UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHILE OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLES (CARS, MOTORCYCLES, SCOOTERS, BUSES, TRUCKS), RIDING BICYCLES, CROSSING STREETS, CROSSING RAILWAY TRACKS, WALKING THROUGH HEAVY PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC, OR OPERATING INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY.
Devotional chanting and bead counting require focused mental presence. Attempting to count beads or look at a mobile screen while in traffic drastically reduces situational reaction time and presents an extreme, life-threatening danger to yourself and fellow citizens.
Always practice your japa while safely seated in a quiet, undisturbed sanctuary, prayer room, home altar, or calm meditative environment.
6. Sensory, Ergonomic & Auditory Comfort
A. Tactile Feedback & Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI)
Jaap Karma utilizes native device haptic motors (HapticFeedback.lightImpact) to simulate the tactile sensation of rolling physical Tulsi, Rudraksha, or Sandalwood beads through your fingers. If you chant thousands of counts daily:
- Repeated finger tapping may cause thumb, wrist, or finger tendon strain or carpal tunnel discomfort.
- Devotees with sensory sensitivities, neuropathy, or nerve fatigue can easily disable haptic vibration at any time via Settings → Feedback → Haptic Feedback.
- Take periodic breaks during extensive multi-hour Japa sessions.
B. Nocturnal Chanting & Eye Care
For devotees waking during the sacred early morning hours of Brahma Muhurta (approximately 3:30 AM to 5:30 AM) or chanting in darkened rooms at night, we strongly recommend enabling the app's Nocturnal Brahma Muhurta Dark Mode to minimize blue-light exposure, protect your circadian rhythm, and eliminate eye strain.
C. Auditory Settings
The app includes an optional subtle click sound for bead progression. Keep sound volume at a comfortable, non-disruptive level, especially when chanting in public mandirs, temples, ashrams, or shared family living spaces.
7. Voluntary Spiritual Practice & Assumption of Risk
Your choice to engage in meditative prayer, mantra recitation, fasting, or fulfilling spiritual vows (Sankalpa) is entirely voluntary. You assume full personal responsibility for your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being during your practice.
8. Inquiries & Feedback
